Guided tours of ESOC
Outer space – the infinite reaches of the universe … but how does a satellite actually get into outer space? How can it orbit the earth? What does the control room look like and what does the earth look like from above? Is there really life on Mars or Venus? What Bruce Willis managed in Armageddon shouldn’t be a problem for ESA, should it?
These are just some of the questions you can find the answers to on a guided tour of European "Mission Control" at ESOC, the control centre for the European space agency ESA.
These tours of ESOC for individuals are being carried out every third Friday of the month from 4.30 – 6 p.m. (excluding 25.06.2010). The one and a half hour tour costs 7,00 € per person (concessions: 4,00 € (people with disability, school children, students and senior citizens).
We have reserved 10 tickets per tour. These can be booked up to 14 days before the desired tour date by supplying us with your name. On the day of the tour please ensure you bring a valid form of photo identity (ID card or passport) that you will need to show at ESOC.
